For the ladies, sundresses are more than welcome. Please don’t risk being too warm :)
As for you men, some light slacks and a button down are as formal as it gets here on the Big Island. Normal business attire for men really is often just a Hawaiian shirt and some slacks.
For those traveling from off island, please prepare for summer-like conditions. Being on the west side of the Big Island, February is dry with a daily temperature ranging between 68°F and 80°F. February also has an average UV index of 9, so be sure to bring ample sunscreen and a swim suit for any time you spend at the beach!
Accommodations
Unfortunately, lodging in Hawaii is not cheap. Pricing is currently being negotiated with the Courtyard by marriott King kamehameha's kona beach hotel, however it seems as though rooms will cost no less than $250/night. sadly, You will find This to be the reality of many Hawaii hotels.
As a result, we highly suggest coordinating joint lodging with other attendees you know. Fortunately, there are various homes that can be rented on the west side of the Big Island for more reasonable pricing when shared. Please follow the below links on airbnb for some home options that We suggest.
